Colorado Privacy Disclosure

How SIE Data complies with the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and how Colorado residents can use their rights.

1. Overview of the law

The Colorado Privacy Act took effect on July 1, 2023, and applies to businesses that control or process personal data of at least 100,000 Colorado consumers per year, or 25,000 consumers if revenue or discounts come from selling personal data. The law is enforced by the Colorado Attorney General and the Colorado Department of Law. SIE meets the 100,000 consumer threshold and applies the CPA in full.

2. Your rights

  • Right of access. Confirm and obtain a copy of personal data we process about you.
  • Right to correct. Fix inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to delete. Have personal data deleted, including data we obtained from third parties.
  • Right to data portability. Receive your data in a portable format up to twice a year.
  • Right to opt out. Refuse targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling decisions.
  • Right to appeal. If we decline, you can appeal within forty-five days and reach the Colorado AG if still unsatisfied.

3. How SIE complies

We honor the Colorado Universal Opt-Out Mechanism list, including Global Privacy Control. We obtain opt-in consent before processing sensitive data such as racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, mental or physical health, sex life, sexual orientation, citizenship, genetic or biometric data, and any data from a known child. We document Data Protection Assessments for any processing the CPA designates as high risk.

4. Authorized agents

Colorado allows authorized agents for opt-out requests. The agent should provide written authorization signed by you. We may still contact you to verify the request before we act on it.

6. Effective date and scope

The CPA took effect on July 1, 2023. It covers Colorado residents acting in a personal or household context, and excludes employees and B2B contacts.
