Data Deletion Instructions

Effective: April 25, 2026

Your Right to Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data held by SIE Data under multiple frameworks: the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California DELETE Act (SB 362), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR Article 17), and other applicable state and international privacy laws. SIE Data honors these requests promptly and without retaliation.

How to Request Deletion

Choose any of the following channels. We will verify your identity before processing the request and confirm completion in writing.

Email
Send to [email protected] with subject line "Delete My Data". Include the email address(es) and any identifiers (phone, account name) associated with your account or any data you believe we hold.
DROP Platform
California residents can also submit a deletion request via the California Privacy Protection Agency's DROP platform. We sync DROP requests automatically and propagate them to all downstream data consumers within 45 days.

What Happens After You Submit

  1. Verification (1–3 business days): We confirm the request is genuinely from you (or your authorized agent), using identifiers provided.
  2. Suppression (within 24 hours of verification): Your identifiers are added to our suppression list. No further enrichment, outreach, or data sale will include your information.
  3. Hard deletion (within 30 days): Personal data is removed from production systems. Aggregated/anonymized analytics derived from prior data may be retained as permitted by law.
  4. Downstream propagation (within 45 days): Deletion is forwarded to data brokers and partners who previously received your information, in accordance with the California DELETE Act.
  5. Confirmation: You receive written confirmation when each phase completes.

Third-Party Authentication

If you authenticated to SIE Data via a third-party login (Facebook, Google, etc.) and want to delete data SIE Data acquired through that login, you can:

  • Email us as described above (preferred — we will fully delete from our systems).
  • Revoke SIE Data's access through the third-party provider's app settings. This stops new data flow but does not delete data we have already received. Email us afterward to request deletion of previously-received data.

Data We Cannot Delete

In limited cases, certain records must be retained for legal, regulatory, or compliance-audit purposes (e.g., FCRA/CCPA audit logs proving we did not process restricted data, or financial records required by tax authorities). We will tell you clearly which records we are retaining and why. Retention is the minimum permitted by law.
